Cylinder 5 Misfire P0305, need help

    Hi:

I got the code for several days already and it comes back:

    2 Faults Found:
    16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
    P0300 - 008 - Implausible Signal
    16689 - Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
    P0305 - 008 - Implausible Signal
    Readiness: 0000 0000

I did some search online, it came up with vacum leak, faulty plug, coil etc..

My engine's 3.0L, my CEL doesn't light up, (still stable smooth idle RPM)
but I do feel loss of power at accerlate.

if for 1.8T engine, it is most likely the faulty coil pack and CEL lights up,

is this also true for 3.0 engine?

Very possible you're detecting early signs of a coil failure. Try swapping coils with another one and see if the code returns. If it returns, see if it's for the same cylinder or if it changed. If it changed, it's definately the coil going bad.
