Weird thing happened today.....

All of a sudden, I go to turn on my radio, and I realize....the knob is already out, but there is no light on the screen of the radio. The regular lights light up, all the buttons and what not, so I know its getting power, I'm not sure if I blew the fuse in the back or whats going on, it isn't asking for a code, or anything. The screen is just black, odd, none of the buttons respond or do anything either......Anyone have any ideas, I'm going to see if the vag com tells me anything before I go pulling the beast out to check the fuse....Thanks boys!

Sounds like something internal to the radio. I had a similar prob a few years ago. The Stealer had a deal, they'd take in an old radio and give you a rebuilt for $100. Don't know if they still do that.

dude that can b alot of things, check all the wire harnesses behind the radio. There could be a wire that fell out or shorted or touching another metal which is throwing power to a ground instead of the radio.

yeah randomly as i tried to pull it out to check everything it just turned back on, obviously the cord or something queer like that....
