I bought a set of these and I highly recommend them. I did not want to install studs/nuts so this was perfect for me. Even installed them with the head still on the car one bolt at a time in audi specific order. If you install one at a time and in the proper order you will not have any problems with leaks. What 'tool' is used for these bolts? The 6point poly drive like OEM? I don't see it called out in the description on your website.

Torque spec is the same as OEM bolts?

It is a different tool than oem. 12pt instead of poly drive iirc. I have one you can borrow any time you need.

Shit. I was hoping to be able to use my poly drive tool so I won't have to buy the tool with the bolts. If I decide to buy the bolts I'll just buy the tool. You know what its like to collect the proper tools for the job.

There are two OEM styles also- this is the 12pt one, there is also poly drive. If you work on a lot of 1.8t's it's best to have both anyways because the early motors came 12pt and all the later poly drive.

Older motors have 12pt as in... lets say... '91 VW 2.0L 16V? I recall that motor I had having 12point head bolts and I have that tool already (had to buy it for the work I was doing on that motor). Same tool I use on my front driveshaft flanges.

What size 12pt? 10 or 12mm?
