Seidl RS4 bumper owners: Question about cutting out the side vents

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
As most of you may know the Seidl bumper comes with two enclosed side vents.

I was going to have the body shop cut them out for me, but I have a dremel and it would be cake. Just curious to see if anyone has pics of their car with the vents cut out of the bumper.

    Talking about these:

Can't wait to put this thing on. No euro plate BS, no headlight washer BS.

Side note: Where can I get the RS4 side grilles (just the fog grilles) for the best price?

My apologies, haven't snapped any pics of it as of late. I'll take some this week. Here's sort of a close one for now: (It looks better than it actually is. It's pretty hacked up)

I cut the side vents out of my Dietrich front bumper with a Dremel, easy as anything with a disc cutting tool, marked out where I wanted to cut 1st and jus followed the lines, go for it bud!

Audi S4. Noggy Blue. MRC remap. FK Coilovers. 18" Compomotive MO's. Vredestein Ultracs. Labree downpipes. Vibrant cat-back. Carbon goodies. Cayenne BBK. Hotchkis ARBs. Dietrich RS4 front end. Recaro Pole positions. R8 steering wheel.

Nasty, I'm just curious, why'd you go to seidl from rieger?

Re: Seidl RS4 bumper owners: Question about cutting out the side vents

^ Cuz I wanted a more OEM look. The Rieger has some things right now I do not like:

    1. Squared openings and flares near the bottom sides. The Rieger bumper to me not only sits lower than the RS4 look but it makes the car look a little slack-jawed.

    2. Washer holes (Yes I know they can be filled in and yes I know they aren't there from the factory. The previous owner of this Rieger bumper cut them out).

    3. The indent for the Euro plate. I don't need to put "BITRBO" or "NOFATCHIX" on the front of my car. If I need reassurance, I can pop the hood. I don't pick up fat girls anyway, so that shouldn't be a big deal. It dirties the front end up IMO.

    4. The inability to fit OEM RS4 grilles. I will be running fogs again, working fogs with my FMIC. In fact I just received them in the mail, so I am now on the hunt for RS4 side grilles. (I will probably just give Avalon Motorsports a call tomorrow.)

    5. Just look at them side by side! The Seidl looks 100x better. As I was test fitting it I was getting a good image of what the car is gonna look like and I am very excited to say the least.

I'll snap pics when I get home. They look great. Hopefully they fit in the RS4 bumper grilles like the bling lights staff said they would, ha.

I will be picking up yellow lamin-x to cover them as well. Everything's coming together fellas. If my bumper isn't done by Thursday, I'll have to wait until Monday or Tuesday to pick it up as I got a busy schedule with Thanksgiving coming up.

As of now my Rieger is held by zipties and shoestring.
