    Bose issues...

I am new to the whole Audi thing so I apologize if this is a dumb question. I paid the Audi dealer $50 to get my radio code and it doesn't even work. I received the car in locked mode so I am not sure of the history.

2001 A4 1.8T quattro w/bose. Symphony I works perfectly, everything lights up and whatever, but there is only sound to the front left door speaker, but it is very minimal. If I crank it I can slightly hear something. Is it the amp? speakers? a faulty connection? If anyone could help I would be stoked, anything at all, I want to avoid the $90 audio store fee to tell me what is wrong...

I have searched for two weeks trying to work this out.

    Thanks.

If the code didn't work from the dealership, bring it back to them and say it didn't work.

code works. The radio is unlocked, there is just no sound to any of the speakers except for a tiny amount from the front left...

When i got my car it was like this as well. Everyone of my speakers was basically blown to hell. You may want to do some sort of Ohm test on the speakers to see if they're still operable.

    Re: Bose issues...

So its looking as if I might as well just put the chip on hold and replace the speakers, I hope I will be able to keep the stock head unit, I want to keep it simple...

Thanks for the help, its the most answer I have had about this yet, usually is all I get is "that will be $90 before I say anymore..." I appreciate it! Sucks to drive around with no music...

    Any recommendations??

One thing you may want to look into though, that may give you a little trouble, is to make sure your amp is functioning properly. more than likely is but mine was toasted as well.
