always wanted to have CF Trim but never had the time! Finally had some time and did the CF Trim wrapped with the help from John(AsianA408). This is an unfinshed product. We didn't have enough light so we couldn't finish the dash trim.

    Thanks John!!!

That has to be vinyl as carbon cloth is just that... cloth.

    It doesn't stick to anything.

    Re: CF Trim...

to the hater that said get the vacuum molded ones... $400 can go towards other mods. as for this CF look mod. it's removable. if you get bored of it you can remove it.. as for it being $400 I'd jump on it if it was available for my car, unfortunately I like the dry look better and BMW does offer it for the 3er's just they center console on the M3's are plastic, and the cost is $1400. I'll throw this shit on for a few months and peel it off.. no need. as for money well spent it's just for fun.. I have my money dumped into other mod goodies...

to DrunknMunky408... good job. have fun with it.. don't let others' hate bring your modding addiction down.

How is that not real carbon fiber? Personally I like the raw look better than the "super shiny hey look how much money I spent on something rather pointless" look.

Nice job! Where'd you get that cf cloth from?

My bad, I was at work when I posted that. I didn't look too carefully obviously since I didn't notice how insanely clean those cuts were for it being real cf cloth.

I am still for the raw finish cf though. It has been done the real way before. Carbon Copy (i think that's their name) is able to do it.

Huh? Seeing as there is no benefit of spending $400 on this DIY over spending $40 and you couldnt tell the diff. if he only showed assembled pics I would say there is no real right way to do it. Seriously think about it whats the advantage of using a vac mold?

    DIY- Do it Yourself. Not
DITWPWTMMWDIANAB- Do It the way people with too much money would do it at no additional benefit.

Huh? Seeing as there is no benefit of spending $400 on this DIY over spending $40 and you couldnt tell the diff. if he only showed assembled pics I would say there is no real right way to do it. Seriously think about it whats the advantage of using a vac mold?
I don't think you understand. It's vinyl, not carbon fiber. But whatever, if you think it looks good be my guest, it's your car.

Yes I could noticed the difference. And yes, don't vinyl your roof. Do it right and paint it. No reason to get all worked up. I just don't like vinyl carbon fiber

For your reference, here is a picture of real CF from Carbon Copy Design:

I can easily tell. Even "dry" carbon fiber looks way different.
