Im doing some head work and replacing one of the cam chain tensioners. Before i go and start putting things together i was wondering if anyone knows an easy way to put the cams in with out the special tool?

For those that did cams what's the easiest to get them aligned?

What I did was to use a long zip tie to compress the tensioner and slide the chain around it. I cut the zip tie and that was all. To align them the owner's manual said that you have to find the slots on the cams and align them with the arrows on the cam journals. There are 16 links between the two slots. PM me and I'll send you a pic of the orientation.
