i hate tinted tails. prob gonna keep the trunk rings chrome. but i am getting a cf trunk strip. i got rid of the s4 blades because they break up the lines with the body kit

Good call on the trunk rings. It would look really odd with fronts chrome and rear black.

i'm not really trying to mimic the a4, but the body kit was designed for the a4, and the s4 blades break up the lines. the A4 wheels are my winter wheels ;)

Personally, it is always my opinion that the S4 blades break up the lines on all S4's. I'm glad my DTM package deleted the S4 blades, otherwise I would have swapped them out too. I guess I just never really understood them.

I wouldnt say hes making his car look like an A4 hes clearly creating a theme for the car however I think the remaining silver on the car rings front and back and the strip are taking away from that theme and the wheels are temporary im hoping?

i'm gonna keep the rings, i've never liked the non-ring look. that rear strip will be gone. the wheels are my winter wheels, no point on rolling with my nice wheels up to the pass

The more I see the Otty kit, the less I like it. There's just too much mass hanging down front and rear. It looks like a parade float, especially with +43 offset wheels like these. The stock B6 front and rear gives the car a squat, compact appearance. The lines flow nicely and give the car symmetry. The Otty kit ruins that, IMO.

I think your car looks good. Personally, I like the door blades but different strokes for different folks.

I mean seriously, god forbid you were to do a little more than RS4 reps and some sort of exhaust on your S like everybody else on here!

It's all about putting your own unique flavor into it. And saying this looks like an A4 now is totally absurd as they didn't even make the A4 in your color.

There isn't much that differentiates them, and the fact that you changed what does isn't a big deal (although I do have a bias for the chrome mirrors)...

Anyway, do you have closeups of the blacked out trim? I'd be interested to see the quality. Also, how did you do it? Tape off the rest of the car?

some are serious, some are kidding, some are trolling, some just can't read. considering the A4 and S4 are the same chassis, I'd expect them to look the same when I removed the distinguishing exterior pieces.

i'll take some pics of the trim next week, I need to drop the car off for an alignment first. and yes, I just sanded down the trim and masked the car off.
