Here's a (crappy) video of me running the car 1st - 4th just to give you an idea of the intoxicating whine the VF blower produces, also note I have the STaSIS catback on my car currently. For all you guys that are going to pick the video apart for performance keep in mind that this video was shot at 3,330 feet so I'm running around 3psi (down from 4.5psi), was shifting pre-redline and not powershifting.

Here are a few pics of how she sits now. Put on STaSIS catback, Ohlins, some H&R 15mm spacers out back and threw some titanium package 18"s on for now.

Hats off to vf for making a supercharger for this car... but honestly, is that even that fast? im sure its a little faster than stock, but is it really THAT massive of a difference? And why only 3.0 lbs of boost? i thought it was supposed to be upwards of 6?

Well as I said above it's running 4.5lbs at sea level. A supercharger is mechanically driven by the crank so it can not compensate using a wastegate (as a turbo does) at elevation. So the higher you go (elevation) the less boost it makes.

I don't know what you are talking about that looked great thanks for sharing this. Good bad or indifferent it is always good to share. Your shifting was not too bad either. There is no need to go all the way to red line just for a video but thanks.

ummm... nearly 5 seconds 20-60...?!?!

that basically confirms this is a total waste of 11 grand, bone stock im gettin 0-60 in 5.48 according to my gtech. for that much cake I would've expected 0-60 in 3.9 secs... 4.25 at the worst...

on the flip side it sounds great though...

Actually the video was nearly at 2 seconds when he started, so it seams that it was just over 3 seconds 20-60

I would say 1.5 secs into the vid is when the tachometer began to rev higher... starting speed was at 21mph @ 1.5sec and hit 61mph @ roughly 5.75 sec... so right over 4 secs total for 21-61mph... even if it was @ 4 seconds flat 21-61... it's still disappointing. You STILL have to factor in 0-21... I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I don't think that spending over 10 grand on seat of the pants feel and a whine is worth it... just get married and get it for free.

Spending over $10,000 on a non-factory mod that provides very little gains in acceleration sounds like an overall losing proposition to me... not to mention you're automatically qualified to forfeit your factory drivetrain warranty... I think its a better investment to just stash the 10 large under your mattress until the new 2010 SC V6 S4 arrives...

Feel free to buy a plane ticket to Vegas and go for a spin in the Avant back to back with a stock RS4 and then let me know what you think. By the time you waste money in a chip $600, fullback exhaust $3200, coilovers $2000, wheels and tires $2000-$5000, intake $300, ect,ect plus labor $$?? you would have spent close to if not over $10K and might look nice but with very little gain. $10K on a stock car will get you performance!! Trust me I have done this many many times! So for anyone who wants a ride the invite is open to contact myself or Brian because riding in the car and watching a vid are not even close! The product will seel it self.

So I guess your car puts bus lengths on RS4s? and can stay right with a stg3 b5 s4?

I 10000x agree that all those bolt-ons you listed give anyone very little gains on our n/a v8's...that's why my car is stock... CAI intake, exhaust, and chip if at most when combined are 10 bhp which IMO is a waste of money. That 10hp increase added to 340 would be negligible and people that think their car is faster are going nuts because its all in their head. Just save the dough for that premium fuel when gas prices shoot back up again...

I'd love to go to vegas and drive the beast, I just don't have the time, not to mention thats probably not all I would do in vegas.

I still haven't completely tossed the possibilities of this s/c kit being worth $10k but for that coin it better be noticeably faster than current production RS4... No one here has see hard numbers, just these teaser vids. I'd like to see a STOCK S4 with just your SC kit taken to a drag strip and video taped quarter mile time/trap speed, and make an UNCUT video of the car with a gtech meter and show its gas gauge, temperature outside, windows rolled up, a/c off, you know... optimum conditions then do 3-4 runs and show us the 0-60 times on video...

This guy is just kidding, there is no way he can be serious. 10K for better-than rs4 performance is a great deal. kudos for the upgrade, can't wait for the rs4 version and numbers to arrive :) if you can't afford to pay and play, then stay out of the conversation.
