Yes, I am using one with my AVIC-Z2. This adapter basically translates your steering wheel roller signal into wired remote signal for Pioneer headunits. So as long as your Pioneer unit has a wired remote input, this adapter will work. I have the CA-R-PI.221, which is for a B7, but I also have this adapter on my wife's Mercedes, and both work pretty well. On my B7, the response can be a little slow, and sometimes I'll need to click the roller twice before I get a response, but overall, it works pretty well.

I bought my wife's Mercedes CA-R-PI from this guy on eBay:

    click

But they're kind of overpriced. You can try emailing [email protected] and see if they have one in stock. I paid about 100.00 shipped from them back when $1.00 = 2 UK pound, so it should be a lot cheaper now if they have it in stock.
