    New Hood

I was driving down a hill today and because it had rained hard today. Long story short - A tree branch had fallen and I hit it. It dented the front part of my hood and the driver's side front pillar but only slightly.

Now I need a new hood.

Is anyone parting out their car lately?

I'd be willing to paint it but if I can get it in silver, that'd be great. I'm in Northern NJ but am willing to travel so anyone in this region please help.

If no one is parting out, anyone know where I can get a hood for cheap? I'm looking at wegotused.com hopefully I can find one there.

I would check your local craiglist. Parts show up all the time there. Look to spend about $100

ORRRR you could PM A&P. They ship too

If I remember correctly, I think he was charging about $150 for a hood. You might get lucky and get your oem color too.

I would just give him a call rather than go to his eBay store. He will set you up.

Evercoat:Rage Gold, or Kitty hair with gold over it.

It all really depends on how big the dent is. First I would pound the dent back. But, you will spend more money on supplies, time, and paint to fix it.

    Re: New Hood

I should have taken a picture. The problem with the dent is that it has a crease in it. That part can't really be pushed back. So I'm thinking I make the dent lower than the rest of the body, fill it in with body filler then sand it smooth.

I guess before that I would remove all the paint from the hood.

    The dent is about 5X5".

    Re: New Hood

I would just buy a used stock hood. Like I said earlier, you will spend more money fixing it even if you DIY. Give Chase at A&P a call and tell him I sent you.
