We have rods, pistons, cranks, everything ARP, and all combinations of the above in stock. What are you looking for?

We also have a 110% price match gaurantee.

What are your goals in mind?Just looking to forge up the 1.8T bottom end or stroke the motor?

well i was just going to do forged internals but would a stroker kit be better? i dont know too much about engine internals so try not to confuse me too much

    Re: motor internals

What are your goals, how much power and what turbo are you planning on using. What is your intended usage, autox, road race, strip, street....

The stroker kit will give you gains in torque and power output both in and out of boost, as well as quicker spoolup. It is however a lot more cost. Depending on what you want for the car and how much you want to spend, you can go anywhere between a set of drop in 19mm rods ($379) to a stroker kit (1724.99) and a few options in between. You can also build the stroker a bit cheaper using a cast crankshaft rather then forged and one of our piston / rod combo packs. It all really depends on what you have in mind for the car.

    Re: motor internals

    Pete, nothing against you but...

I would never use IE rods... I want tanged bearings for extra security margin...

    Re: motor internals

Well, then you are in luck, because we have just revamped our 19mm and they do now use tanged bearings. I was just about to make a post about it.

    Re: motor internals

well im looking to be making around 350 to 400 WHP and torque when im done. i want to keep it on the street though. im not in a rush to buuld it yet though so ive got some time to think about what i want to get.

if i were to do cams, rods, pistons, valves, and underdrive pulleys would i want any other modification along with them?

In your circumstance, you're borderline between the stroker kit benefits and what CAN be made on the stock crank. You're on the right track though: Pistons, rods, valves, springs, new cam followers, Cams (good idea), retainers (good idea), .... I'm sure Issam, Jake, Pete, BobQ, etc can all give you the run down on everything you need and supply you with those parts.

Since it appears you're a facelift car, that makes things easier.

I wouldn't try too hard to push those numbers with a 2871, spend the $$, go with a GT30xx or maybe even an HTA.

You will definately need connecting rods.Skip the under drive pulleys, they are going to do nothing for you.
If you do cams I recommend upgrading the entire valve train as well.

    Re: motor internals

I agree. At a minimum, you will need connecting rods. The underdrive pullies will do nothing and in a high power situation may even hurt.

If you want 400awhp on PUMP, you are definitely going to need an aggressive head / cam / manifold / turbo setup. If you just want 400whp on race fuel, that can always be done by cramming it down its throat = tons of boost.
