Is ok that its tappered at the top from 2.5" to 3" will this help out on my k03 or just go straight 3" again?

seems pretty decent... i always hate buying stuff online because in this case you can't check out the welds to judge the quality of the product.

I have an 034 3" test pipe on my k03.... works fine. the taper on this ebay one is supposed to reduce the "step" between the test pipe and the tiny stock downpipe. I just wish i had gone with the full 034 three inch DP because the stock one is a serious restriction and it kind of makes it sound a little bit shitty.

yea i had a 3" tp on my last b5 and i dropped 3/10ths in the 1/8 mile from it! All i had was a giac chip,ebay ss, borla cat back and the 3" tp and i ran 9.7 from 10.0 in the 1/8

well apparently if the exhaust is too big for the turbo it will make it spool up more slowly... and 3 inches is probably too much for a k03. might be why you lost 3/10 of a second. this is just what i have been told
