Opinions on wheel sizing... pics please...

So, I'm thinking of buying some new wheels:

    Size: 19 x 8

    Offset: 32

    Bolt Pattern: 5 x 112

Will I have any problems with the offset? Any of you running this offset (or similar) that would like to post up some pics so I know what to expect?

Also, what size rubber would you reccommend? TIA!

Do these cars rub with 245s or something? Seems like everybody here runs the 235s on their 8" width rims.

I'm running 255/35s on ET35 19x8s and only rub when I hit quick dips in the road. Still on S-Line suspension, and worried about rubbing if I lower, but still might, we'll see.

Holy shit man, those are some massive mothas!

I run 8.5" wide rims with ET32 and I don't rub at all. You'll be more than fine. As for ideal tire size, it all depends on your needs. Some care more about looks while others care more about performance. Apparently you can stuff 265s but keep in mind that these are not fast cars and big rubber is going to slow you down. I run 235s.

    I'm liking the pics!

Thanks for all of the feedback. I went ahead and purchased the wheels and am looking forward to dropping my car on some Stasis SS's when the funds become available...

What I don't get is the people who are running staggered setups on an AWD car that already understeers. lol.

i was worried about et32 also.. because it seems like et35 is ideal for our cars but it seems like people run much bigger and dont rub so im thinking et32 would be fine.. i just dont know whats a good tire for that.. i guess 235/35/19

Re: Opinions on wheel sizing... pics please...

I'm running 245/35/19's on 19x8 ET35. There is some room to go a little further out, so you should be fine with an ET32. I originally had the car slammed real low and rubbed quite a bit. I'm at 25 1/4" (fender to ground) right now and only rub on real big dips in the road. However, I did go to the track and was rubbing substantially around the nurburgring replica carousel. I still have scuffing on the sidewall of my right front tire.

Also, make sure that you remove the screw on the inside of your front fenders (it's at the apex of the arch). You definitely don't want to be rubbing on this screw when you are dropped.

Re: Opinions on wheel sizing... pics please...

guys what u fail to realize is the "rubbing" come from a poor match of suspension being too soft, tire width, and offset... i know a guy who was running 10's in the rear if his a4 and never rubbed, i on the other hand ran 8's and couldnt stop rubbing to save my life, wheel width has nothing to do with it really, no i went with a wider wheel, stretched tire, and i dont rub at all... so rather than posting up the width of the wheel, post up the offset, that will make this far easier...

and to answer op's question: that size and offset will look sick on the car, what are you lowered with? that makes a big differnce, 19's on stock suspension = retarded fail.. but slamed with a nice tire strech will not rub at all, if you do it right: if it were me, id run 215/40/19 on those tires, and u wont rub if ur low

It's all up to you if you want to rock the stretch or not. In my opinion, I don't like the stretch at all. Here are a few pics... The first is my setup with 245/35/19 on 19x8 et35. As you can see, there is a little bit of room for more et and the sidewall of the tire is pretty much flush with the spokes on the wheel.

This pic has a lot of tire stretch... Your wheels won't be poking this far out of the fender because you only have an 8" wide wheel and et 32. However, it does give you an idea of what a 215/40/19 wheel will look like when it's stretch out on your wheels.

Like I said, it's up to you what style you think you would prefer. Also, what wheels did you end up going with?

Edit: You probably wouldn't be stretched as much as those pics because I think those are 225/35/19's on a 19x9 wheel.

I don't mean to bag on anybody's car at all but I think the stretched look is terrible. Not only that, but there's no rubber there to protect the rim at all.

Those wheels should look pretty good, can't wait to see them mounted. Did you figure out what size rubber you are going to go with?

I think I decided on the 235/35/19's... That should make rubbing a minimal issue. Now I just have to save for the tires. I got a great deal on the wheels which amounts to approximately $133 each!! I had to snatch them up!
