    Just a Quick Question

I have been lurking on this forum for a little over two weeks now. I had owned a 1993 Honda Del Sol since I was 16, and it was swapped, built, slammed and all of that (spent way too much lol), made for a fun car, until about a month ago, I had a brake line go out, causing me to have no brakes going 60mph and I had totaled the car.

A good buddy of mine has a B5 S4 Nogaro Blue, and I love it, unfortunately, I have enough bills at this moment so I am coming out of pocket for this car. I found a killer deal on a 1998 A4 2.8, it is not quattro, and I know, I want that, but for a mint condition A4 2.8 with one owner for 2500?!

Now my question is, my buddy has an additional S4 2.7T motor, that he wants to swap in my car once I have the money to finish building it. After reading Guruman's build, I really wanna take advantage of this.

My question is, since I am FWD, is the swap possible?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

P.S. Search led me astray, not many threads with the info I was requesting. If someone could point me in the right direction, that would be great. Thanks again. Oh and I made my screen name on here before I found this deal on the FWD one, so I am going to have to change that too, or maybe just live with it lol

man a 1.8t can break the wheels loose on fwd no problem. I think a 2.7t would just melt the tires.

Understood, however, that's something I'm somewhat used to. Having had and been in 300-450whp FWD Honda's, it's not really that bad.

I am not dying to swap the motors, just thought since the deal was so sweet, why not at least just find out ?!

    Anyone?

    Thanks -- Mike

There are many many topics if you search....I would say buy a POS blown engine Quattro for that much if you were going to do the swap anyway.

Cool. I just wanted to make sure the 2.8 FWD trans would bolt to the 2.7T motor.
