Paging IH8OEM and 4RingRook

How did you guys get the DTM CF trunk spoiler to fit on a NON-Sline trunk? I can't seem to get substantial "contact" points between my trunk surface and 3M tape...

Just thought I'd throw it up here so other people can chime in or learn from this as well.

so you finally got it...i think mines coming tomorrow hopefully. he said that it he had to make me a new one cuz the original one had a crack in it also.

-i know the fitments going to be off on the non-sline trunk spoiler. it sticks up at the ends just alittle bit ive heard and seen

Sorry man, just saw this thread.

One tip I can give you is adding an extra strip of 3m down the middle of the spoiler to get the most of the minimal surface area contact.

There will be a gap in the middle underneath the spoiler above the rings. It's hard to describe, but when its flush on the sides, it will rise in the middle. If you push it down flush in the middle, it feels like you're bending it, and the edges will 'roll up' like a poster.

There's a happy medium if you work with it, just be careful not to mark the hell out of your paint.

thanks - but i think i'm just going to take a small hit and resell it. don't want to go through the trouble of making it fit... might go for the ABT spoiler instead - similar design but perfect NON-Sline fit.

either way, the CF spoiler is up on the classifieds.
