1: I figured out how to use my GIAC flipswitcher that has been in a bag for 6 months (why it took so long I don't know) and I have the XR chip with the Race file. I bought the chip second hand and didn't know if it had it or not.

2: I finally found this "mythical" race fuel on a pump by me on hwy 100. You need to bring a can (no "into a car" sales) and it is 110 oct. I know it's like winning the Special Olympics when you are a stage II+ but I think it will be a fun way to break a $50.

Where could one exactly find this mythical race gas on HWY 100? My car is almost empty and I would love to fill 'er up with some good stuff. Is it unleaded?

HMMMMmmmmm.....I didn't look if it was unleaded. It is on the very south side of hales corners on the west side of hwy 100. You need to bring cans according to their sign.

Leaded gas can kill the 02 sensors. Neil told me about VP109 gas which is unleaded. I'll find some of that and see what happens.

thats why i like my middle of nowhere hometown. we love late model racing (and other such types at the dells speedway) so much that the race gas flows like the beer... plentifully :)

Brady don't run that fuel..... All the local pumps are 110 LEADED. No good for us. Unless you want to replace o2 sensors and cats. The only local UNLEADED race fuel around us is in Slinger @ Wolf & Son's fuel. They have a Sunoco Gt-100 pump that you can fill your car directly and pay with a cc. It runs about $6.70 a gallon

Rob, VP-109 is a order only fuel. I get it from Chad Schmidt @ Schmidt's gas & go in Wind Lake. Chad is a good guy, he can hook up any kind of race fuel. But you have to order it, and you end up with a stack of empty cans!

Vp-109 is expensive roughly $10.00 a gallon, I only run it when I want it set to maximum kill ;) .

+ 2 I need to buy one..... what exactly can you do with it ? I have a TIP STG.II with GIAC X-Chip, can I up load the latest STG.II software ?

you just plug it into your OBDII port, turn the car on to the 1st location, so only hte power is on. it'll flash a few times and light up and show you what programs you have. then you push the button for what program you want to run (stock, race, 93, valet, etc), turn the car on and you're good to go.
