So, my car won't start.. When its warm?

And I can't check my CEL's, no OBD2 reader can connect to it. Not even my VAG-COM that I've been using for almost a year.

Any ideas?

That being said, i can offer some help, at least what i have run into

Do you have a Boost/Vacuum Leak?

When i first bought my car it would start right up in the morning, when it was cold, but once it warmed up, it refused to start. Built a boost leak tester, and found about 5 brittle hoses with holes in them. Fixed that, no more starting problems.

There are other related issues, and im sure they have been covered in a million topics already...

Hall senders are also common culprits, that cause hot-starting issues.

Mine never through a CEL on my old A4, but it did throw a code. Got mine at a VW dealership for about 30 bucks. They should have them in stock.

Yeah, like its not getting any fuel. It only does it randomly too.

Not much I can do, if I can't use my VAG-COM to check for codes. I know like 4 months ago I got the code randomly for a coolant temp sensor, maybe its finally gone.

The big problem is that I can't check my codes.

No, its been doing the usual bad wheel speed sensor symptoms. Like randomly kicking in and at low speeds.. etc.

It has come on before, but went away after like an hour or so.

unplug your ABS Control Module and see if your car will talk to a vagcom then.

Just a guess but my money is on the coolant temp sensor. The ECU thinks the car is cold so it uses the cold start map which just doesn't work well on a warm engine. When my sensor was bad it would almost start then crank for at least 30 seconds and then smell like it was flooded.
