    A5 LED fog mod

Well I saw a bunch of B5 & B6 A4's doing the A5 LED mod so I thought I would give it a shot. Let me know what you guys think. Sorry my car is dirty, the weather has been shitty for over a week.

    Anyways here you go:

And these are the LED's I used:

    http://www.ledshoppe.com/Product/led/LE5017.htm

It looks totally stealth when they are off, and I wired them directly to my fog light switch.

    Re: A5 LED fog mod

dont like it...sorry bud. just doest look good on the B5 model. If you were to do it with the original S6 LEDs, and somehow mold them to fit your bumper, that would look a lot better. But to me, the B5s look too dated and with an addition of LEDs, just doesnt go too well.

I'm feeling torn as to if I like the look or not. Really don't agree with the above post about B5's looking "dated", It still looks better than some new cars if you ask me. But I feel that these look out of place on our cars is more accurate. To each his own, but not for me at the moment.

    Re: A5 LED fog mod

it doesnt look good because of your un-modded exterior. i have that same deal on my car with an aftermarket front bumper, and its slammed. looks totally different another tip is put those in the very bottom slit on left and right, there's some pics of them like that on here somewhere

    Re: A5 LED fog mod

i have done this on my own car and I think it looks nice. However I didnt use the strip LED's that everyone is using because the LED's are too close together and it doesnt look like the new A5s where the LED's are gapped out more......maybe I am just partial to mine but I think it looks a lil nicer...

but like others said....if you are happy with how it looks that is all that matters, everyone has different tastes

another suggestion.....get rid of the amber parking lights and put a single filament bulb in there so it only comes on with your signals

    Hey black00a4,

The colors look exactly the same. What kind of HID mod is that?

Not a huge fan, but I can understand why people like them.

IMO they might look better if they weren't so blue, but I see that you were trying to match them with the 8000k color temperature of your HID's. Looks like they match up perfectly too...nice work.

I like the placement because it keeps them hidden during the day, and ya their pretty bright but not blinding. They match my HID output perfectly

    Re: A5 LED fog mod

I like em', did you use my crappy write up on how to do it by any chance? Not that it was hard at all.

I have the lower grille mod with 6k HIDs and white LEDs and think it looks perfect. It was a nice cheap way to cleanly set my car apart from the rest at night. It doesn't look rice, doesn't blind on-coming traffic, and matches the 6k HID kit perfectly. IMHO.

Heres my snout. I messed with the exposure to cut out the glare from the LEDs so they didnt look like one single long element.

    Self made, NOT Mommy paid.

I like the look. I think the KEY is to have an upgraded bumper. I too would not use the word...'dated' (not bashin on your terms bro, sorry, lol) but i do agree that the B5 front looks much better with the LED's when there is another more...im gonna say...'modern' bumper to place them in. I remember seeing a silver A4 with an RS4 Rep. and LED's and it looked totally different, and in my opinion alot better. Im going to be doing them as a little winter project along with an HID Kit to match. I will be sure to post up picks for everyone! I really like your ride black00a4 with LED's, VERY clean B5!

yup, i saw that majority of people used one so i used two because they fit exactly into the bottom slit of my kerscher bumper.

    Re: A5 LED fog mod

I think fitting them in the Kerscher bumper recess / slit make them look factory.

As opposed to them just being slapped on a flat surface.
