Please read the entire offer before you ask any questions.

Ignore the fact the needle is not sitting at zero in the pictures.
Those are prototype units I used for the pictures!
The gauge you will receive will be hand checked and brand new in the box.

This upgrade program is open to anyone who purchased their Stewart Warner package from the website or from an authorized retailer!

People who purchased a package from my birthday sale are not eligible to upgrade their package as stated in the terms of the sale. As a result I have created a discounted gauge purchase option for you.


This is what is in the box as a replacement. The new gauge, 90 degree fitting and a wiring harness




The harnesses and fittings are completely different from the Stewart Warner one. Why? The SW harness powers the LED which lights the gauge. The harness of the new one POWERS the gauge and the LEDs are built into the gauge itself.

The swap is very simple... You just cut and remove the old SW harness, replace it with the new one and plug it into the back of the new gauge.

The vaccum line will attach to the new gauge just like the old one. DONE!

Here are the 3 options I came up with for everyone that purchased a Stewart Warner package and wants to upgrade to the new gauge.


In a nutshell:

Option 1) You send back your gauge and $20 for S&H and I'll send you a new gauge.

Option 2) You send me $50 ($20 for S&H and $30 refundable deposit), I send you a new gauge and when you send back the old one I refund you the $30 deposit.

Option 3) You buy a gauge for $40 shipped. <- I made this option for those people who bought a setup during my birthday sale.

The retail price of the new mechanical gauge is $50 + shipping. This option expires midnight December 31, 2008

one question. if i just want to buy the Podi guage and swap it out with my stewart warner(without going through the hassle of finding the lights and all that) will the harness be swapable between the 2 guages? or will i just have to rewire?

oh, and this is a LOOOOOONG shot, but my boost guages always read about 1.5psi + when the car is off due to my elevation(4300ft). is there anyway you can think of to how i can get a guage, or possibly do it my self, calibrated to zero?

oh, btw, have you looked into GoogleCheckout as an alternative to PayPal? i just recently switched over to that for my business and it is leaps and bounds greater. cheaper fee's and very user friendly. just thought i'd pass the word

I'm stuck with Paypal now until I get my own merchant account setup so I can just deal with payments directly without having a 3rd party involved.

I'll look into the Googlecheckout as well as any alternative to Paypal is appreciated.

It just kinda sucks they are a 'standard' online payment option now and hard to convince the masses otherwise.

yeah, i know what you mean. paypal is very much the standard.

but luckily Google is a pretty reputable name so if the person has half a brain they will see that. none of my 200+ customers have had any complaints or concerns about it

The silver bezels I have don't fit as the final tooling of the black bezel came out 0.5mm thicker than the prototype.

When I figure out a solution you will all know.

I might buy one of these new... I have a glowshift on now and it doesn't sit at zero and it's annoying because it has the 7 colors so i have to click through them to the red one every time i start my car. LOL

it is BRIGHT. i love the needle. but the backlight is a bit to bright. if you're trying to match up to the rest of the gauges. i'll have to throw a resistor of some type in there to dim it down i guess.

but one thing. my MBC was set to about 19lbs as coresponding with my stuart warner gauge. but with the new Podi gauge, a did a few pulls and it goes all the way to 24psi

im going to have to go do some logging to see what my actual boost is.

and i'll throw up some pics when i get a chance

I have to install the gauge in my car and figure out what value would work best but I think a 480ohm resistor will do the trick.

I have a few of these gauges in test cars and they all correspond to the VAG requested boost readings. Let me know how your findings turn out.

I just sent out emails an hour ago.

But the new gauge will be brighter than the dash for sure. I don't have my wagon back yet to figure out what size resistor you will need to dim the lighting down a bit. My initial guess is 480ohm as that is what I used for the Omori gauges I used to sell.

You can get the 480ohm resistor at Radio Shack, Fry's or most places that cell electronic equipment and parts.

You would resistor inline with the red wire in the harness... so between the power source and the wiring harness.

If you don't find the 2nd LED it is OK.

To ship the gauge to the Middle East will cost $6 more for postage.
