[question] b7 dashboard screen

In my knowledge, the little screen that shows information on the checkup and fuel consumption located at the center of the b7 dashboard came with two versions. One's pure black and red, the other is "colored". I'm just wondering about that if they came in with different options for the car? or it's only on a certain year of the b7 model?

It came in a Premium Package for 05.5 then it was in the tech package after.

does your armrest have a phone dock, and do you have memory seat buttons in your driver door pocket? adaptive xenon headlights?

I do have the tech package, homelink, seat memory buttons, bluetooth, adaptive front light, hell it's an S-Line fully loaded without navigation and the back seats warmer...

maybe it's because it's a "Special Edition" as opposed to the "Premium Edition" ?

My dealer told me that the colore display only from tech pak...
BTW my car is 05.5 but I do have colour dis... cheers =P

I got the package that was supposed to have memory seats, but for some reason it doesn't. I've got everything else though.

I have a 2005.5 with Premium Package and mine is color. I believe that if you have the color version you have more trip information available (i.e. Overall mpg, avg speed, etc and a per-trip mpg/avg speed, etc.) than with the standard red-only colored display. Do the red-only units have the toggle switch at the end of the wiper stalk?

no they don't...that is correct

All 2006 with technology package (bi-xenon lights ect) come with color
All 2007+ Only come with color when the Navigation is present.

lol if that question is for me the answer is yes so i guess i have it too.
i bought my car cpo so i wasnt sure of the specs.

I have the toggle switch and all the trip info.
Just it's in black/red.
