got my ecodes! one last question. 2 of the connectors rasied my eyebrow (pics)

Hey guys, I previously asked about the wiring inside ecodes before making the purchase. I received my package earlier today, and I see 2 bulb conenctors that raises my eyebrows. What are these 2 for? I know one is for the city light..which one? and the other? The only connector I recognize is the one for the H7 bulb.

The flat white plug is for the headlamp adjuster motors.

The other would be for your city lamps - though we don't have those in the UK.

Heads up: The turn signal socket that came with the Valeo Ecode will not hook up to your OEM turn signal connector. What I did was just use my turn signal sockets from my Valeo US spec headlights. There wil be 3 guides that hold the socket in place. 2 of them will line up to the Eurospec headlight housing, and 1 won't. I dremeled off the one fin (guide) that did not line up and simply placed the socket in position. I have had no issues as of yet with either leakage, moisture, or it coming loose. It stays in there rather snug.

And for your turn signal bulb, I would get the Silverstar 3457 (Autozone special) seeing how you have a santorin . I went with Stealth as I have a brilliant black vehicle. [keep in mind, the 3457 is for the stock turn signal socket. it will be different if you find a way to use the Eurospec turn signal socket. I can not recall size number]

ahh sweet thanks Seerlah!!! I thought the circular plug was for HID leveling motors as well, but these are halogen ecodse. H7 for hi and low

ahh installed! Toop around a hour or so. I had a really hard time installing the housings back in, everything else was a breeze. Now I gotta find a way to hook up them city lights


edit: the round unkown plug was for the city light bulb - 194. The white connector remains a mystery.

do the blinkers have a stock connector?

For the blinkers, I did what seerlah told me to do. The euro blinker housing/connector has 2 prongs, our oem blinker harness has three inlet things for 3 prongs. so I just shaved the 12 o'clock tab on the oem blinker housing and now it fits perfectly. though I found out that you can some what wiggle your way in without shaving it off. You can just stick the odd tab in first, then wiggle it around and fit the other 2.

once you open everything up, you'll understand. I didn't understand what seerlah was talking about until I took everything off to experiment

Did you get corners yet? If not, id just get some chrome ones off ebay or paint the yellow ones silver because I used to have those silverstar and they looked rainbow ish in the sun.

Chris - I just used my old amber bulbs, I like the yellowish look in the housing itself.

Only difference between halogen and HID versions, is the HID units are auto levelling, while the halogen units have the manual control in the dash.

I'm not sure of any hole for the motors.Where do they go? And how big are they? The inside of the housing seems pretty packed lol.
