owned no. driven a lot, yes.
my moms Maxima(02) and my brothers titan are very torqey. they both light up the tires very easy from a stop and sometimes slow roll. but after that, it's 20mph...30....40.......50.........60......wait.... 70..........etc.
it's just kinda an illusion on how fast it is. throws you back into your seat, but doesn't keep you there. my little 1.8t keeps you there..
oh, and same thing with my dads souped-up F350 and that thing has like 700 ft lbs....

massive turbo? for an evo? you must be new to the Evo world.
they made 800hp by 7000rpms. and 1035 at 9500rpms.. could have easily been taken farther and higher but they were limited to only 100 octane fuel and low boost (40-45psi rather than 55+ on c16)
same exact turbo 034 did on their 2.3L I5 motor and the 2.0l 4g63 had a lower boost threshold by about 500rpms.. but used an equal length twin scroll manifold where as 034 didn't.

the results are in the new eurotuner. 034 had some issues on dyno day though. might have placed better than third if all went well..
