Recommendations on tire size for 17s please?

Hello, im going to use my stock 17s for winter and now i'm looking to purchase a set. the problem is that i don't know what tire will fit because my ride is lowered on stasis ss coil overs. im looking for blizzaks to be specific. i used a wheel calculator but i dont think that it would help since i'm not using the stock suspension. i also did a search on the forum and looked for a good half an hour with no results. can somebody recommend me the size or another brand tire that they had a great experience with please? heres a pic to show my current wheel gap if that helps any. thank you very much!

For 17" you can go 235-45-17(stock tires have this measure) or 245-40-17

You may need a different sized tire for the spare if you change sizes.

235/45R17. Its what the stock tire size is and should be fine, unless you stepped down to 225/50R17 (I think), which should work as well. But since you say you're in NYC (I'm in NNJ), we haven't gotten much snow lately, so stock tire size should be fine

I would step down to 225-45-17. You could also try 215 or 205's but I think 225 should work.

how bout 245/45/17 lowered, rubbing issues on the fender or suspension?

You went the wrong direction. You have to go down (225), not up (245) b/c of your drop. Go with 225/45/17.

Cancel it bro. Not only are those going to fit dangerously on the stock 7.5" wide wheel, but having a wider tire in the snow is not better.
