    Adaptive Euro Light Installation -Help-

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I dropped off my car at the dealer yesterday to have them install my euro spec headlights and they could not do it... they said the lights I gave them to install were non-adaptive headlight units and would not work with my vehicle since my car has adaptive headlights... I did order the adaptive euro lights and even the instructions that came in the box (which tell you install must be done at dealer since you have to reset the adaptive lights in order for it to work properly after install in new euro housing) says it was adaptive. I called up the place where I ordered it from and they said maybe they sent the wrong one...and they will express ship me another set.... but it seems weird it would have adaptive instructions but the incorrect headlights... The tech at the dealer was the head foreman for Audi and said the plugs in the back did not match my US car... has anyone here installed adaptive euro lights? Is there any modification necessary or is it just plug and play? Any help is appreciated.

    LOL.
    You have a white S5. I have a white S5.

My first set of e-codes experienced the exact same problem, so please don't tell me you ordered it from oempl.us too...they also insisted that they were adaptive, but it was bogus / defective. I even had the Audi tech re-check my installation and couldn't find anything misconnected, so the problem lied in the e-codes that were sent to me.

Get it from someone else. I ordered from Audi directly, paid the extra 950 odd dollars, got peace of mind and on with my life.
