    What's poppin everyone...

Last night, bored out of my mind... reading through audizine... i came upon a few threads about knock sensors...

I was , what the hell, let me VAG to see how these bad ass knock sensors are doing...
Car has been running good, strong.. somedays strong then others...
my "Tapp idle" is good, but could be better. Somedays it idles smooth at 1k , very little poppin happens.
other days , it idle a little rougher, dips alot, popps alot....

Now , after reading , checking out someother people logs on there knock sensors... it seems that cyl 2 is the noisiest, and that is normal.
all other cyl , at idle should be half a volt .. give or take.

Here is a log of mine (engine at normal temp.) i rev'ed it up to 2k , dropped it slowly, then back up, back down and once again up to a idle position...
thats why you will see the numbers going up and down a few times.

Let me know what you guys think... could this cause missing firing at idle ( which is the minor popping sound i get at idle, and the dipping of the rpm)

these codes have already been removed... before i did the log for the knock sensors

That cyl 4 is pulling alot of voltage.. double then the other ones..

Now my other theory, is it possible that the knock sensors are backwards... for example,
cyl 1 and 2 sensor actually belongs between cyl 3/4 , and vice versa...
that would make cyl 4 voltage somewhat correct if that is suppose to be cyl 2.

Am i making any sense at all!!! lol

Pretty sure knocking won't cause misfires. How do your plugs look? Try loging timing pull as well.
As for being backwards, I highly doubt it. The sensor wire for 3/4 knock sensor is shorter than the wire for the 1/2 sensor. I would highly recommend not taking your car to the shop that F'ed that up if they are indeed backwards... Or take it to a shop next time if you are the one who put them in backwards...
