    will the 235/55/17 fit my ride?

    hi, i got a great deal on a wheel/tire set up for winter. the set up is 235/55/17. im currenty rolling on 235/35/19 lowered on stasis ss. my question is will the 235/55/17 fit without rubbing, does anybody know? a lil help please? thanks to all you AZ-ers!

    thats pretty tight fit, might think about something else considering snow builds up in your wheel wells and could make it even tighter...

    hmmm...thats a toughy to decide...looks like it might work, but when you put bigger tires like that your car does lift up a bit, not much....

    i would do 45 at least, 55 might be pushing it unless you plan to raise the car a bit

    Search for a tire calculator, this is what I got for you:

    Diameter of 235/35/19 = 25.5 inches
    Diameter of 235/55/17 = 27.2 inches

    (27.2-25.5)/2= 0.85" needed to have clearance. Remember that the other half of the overall diameter is touching the ground!

    Max 225/55 R17 will fit
    But this is A8 size allready

    Won't let me edit for some reason

    In my expieremce you need spacers on the front atleast to prevent the 55s from rubbing on the inside
