C5 A6 Fog Light Projectors Questions (pics)

    Any info is appreciated..

I found some pics of fog lights that are suppose to be for C5 A6. I know on the 4.2 the fog lights are projectors, and the other models have the big fog lights

I have an 04 A6 2.7 and looking to swap my fog lights for the smaller projectors that came on the 4.2

Any 4.2 owners, or anyone who can tell the difference of the 3, can you let me know which one of the 3 pics are the 4.2 projectors.....Thanks Alot

I think they are picture #1, or 2, but I am not sure......

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

process of elimination, #2 fit the 99-01 narrow body (not 4.2)
    ... and set #3 aren't projectors.

they should be about $60 shipped from Asia. Vagteam/Vagteam2 is a chinese oem rep reseller. Considering they aren't genuine, they are still an ok product, especially for the price.

Yeah, I see that now. I am going to order a set. I think I got something else from these guys before and they were pretty good to deal with. The item was broken so they gave me a refund but also got to keep the product.

Better than 150 x2 that the stealer wants. I just called them yesterday.

I bought a set of those fogs from eBay (OEM CHina parts) and they are NOT the same quality as the OEM from bermany. The plastic is thin and brittle. Skip IMHO. Cheap price for cheap quality.

FYI - some of the stuff carried by that vendor on eBay is great, same stuff you can buy at your dealer for much less $$, but just so you know, some of the stuff is NOT the same.

...hopefully my wasted money will save you in the end....

Thats what I was getting at with my post regarding VAG-TEAM; some of the Auctions are listed as *genuine* parts and they are, just not all of them... like the fogs for example.

number 1 is the 4.2 set. You can tell from the mounting points, as well the fact that it has the projector in it. I was thinking about trying those to replace my stockers cause they are very pitted. I love how these things handle the HID's I have in them.

Re: C5 A6 Fog Light Projectors Questions (pics)

I don't think you can. The mounting points are completely different. The projector inside the housing is just held in by some plastic clips. I have some pics of that. If someone has pics of a regular set to compare it to, we might be able to get a better idea.

That being said, I think it would be a pain in the ass. At that point I might just find a nice set of projector fog lights and custom them into the grill to look stock.
