Fruits of my labor! (My new used rims re-done)

I went on craigslist last week looking for a good deal on some tires since mines were wearing out already. I found this guys selling some used rims with almst brand new tires for $400. went to check them out and saw that the clearcoat was lifting and the color was peeling, but the tires were in great shape!

Anyway, I offered him $350 and took the rims. I stripped the original paint and clear coat and I repainted them. They did not come out as great as I wanted them, but they did come out decently. Here are a few pics. If anyone else is planning on tackling a job like this, let me know and I can try to help out as much as possible!

Thanks guys! Yea, it took longer than I expected with the wheels, so I'll have to do that another weekend.

Nice job on the wheels! A slight drop of the suspension would make the wheels look bigger. But, if you have to go up steep driveways or whatever, a higher height is a must

    Thanks again everyone!

@ Porkchop, these wheels are aluminum. If I had the patience, I could make the whole rim look like chrome buy sanding the whole thing and buffing it out. For the lip, I just sanded it down with 1000 grit and polished AFTER I removed the clear coating. You can actually get it to a mirror finish buy using a finer grit sand paper and buffing it, but I was just lazy!
