    Neuspeed or H&R???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
i am trying to get some springs and a rear sway bar for my 2003 1.8t quattro.
i was either going to go with the nuespeed sport springs and the 21mm rear sway bar, or the H&R setup.

if anyone has either or let me know how you liked it or if you would recommend something else.

im not trying to get coilovers anytime soon due to the price.

    Re: Neuspeed or H&R???

for a sway bar the rs4 seems to be the best for its price
im thinking about neuspeed's or h and r too but i might just go with the neuspeeds cause there cheaper and hopefully are as good as people make h and r's out to be

Depends on what your looking for, if you're looking for performance, I'd say H&R has more equity in that area(plus I can personally vouch for that performance), if you're looking for a more aggressive drop, then Neuspeed is who you want. Neuspeed also has sport springs with have a less aggressive drop and probably softer ride.

    Re: Neuspeed or H&R???

i have neuspeed sports with koni struts and the neuspeed rear sway. i was real unhappy with the ride quality of the neuspeed springs. they where very bouncy on any imperfection in the road. i ordered a set of H&R's, but the neuspeeds settled down after a year so i never got the H&R's on.

besides the poor ride quality, the car handles great.

i have bilstein's/h&r and the rs4 rear sway and i love it....

a little bumpy, but i still love it...a bit bumpier than sport shocks, but definitely easy enough to get used to.

handling is so much better than the stock sport package. i've only done a little bit of back road runs, and i love it. still haven't gotten the tires to squeal, and that's with 20k old all seasons.

again, i must insist that the road is noticeably bumpier. however, i've been driving for a couple days now, and i've stopped noticing it. people who don't ride in my car everyday do say it is bumpier though.

that being said. it is more planted on off ramps, as well as turning in general. on straight highways, it isn't that bumpy, just feels like the car is on rails. i also feel a lot more confident behind the wheel. also, i can steering feel is a lot better, something i find to be very enticing.
