Very nice car! Although I am biased since it is a twin of my car from the color, tint, year and mileage. At least I know what my car would look like if I wasn't required to have a front plate. Congrats on the purchase!

    couple things... questions:

    1. continental sport contact 2's will not do good in snow/ice, correct?

    2. see how the passenger side rear looks a little low slung... what would cause this? I am pretty sure I have Tein coilovers on it (sure I will get flack for that)

    Congrats, great looking car.

Summer tires in the snow will be like skates on ice. Get proper tires.

The suspension might simply need adjustment. I had the same problem recently. If the car is driven hard or the collars are not tightened properly during install they can drop down. Hopefully it's not a blown coil but even if it is, shouldn't be more than $250 to replace.

Don't worry about MOFF, he can lean but he's not a bad guy.

yeah, I can tell he is a "normal" guy... just giving him some grief since he probably thought I wouldn't end up buying one. guess I will have to take the car in to look at that shock. just looks a bit silly right now. everything else is very balanced

DIY is always better but otherwise, take it to any shop that can do suspension work. You may want to find out what coils you have first and if special key/tools are required for adjustment. It might also be a good idea to throw it on the alignment rack while you're at it.

Re: this is for MOFSTEEL - and an introduction

yeah, first impressions: seem to ride a bit rough... but the thing feels like it is glued to the road. I am almost wondering if the sways are upgraded as well. guess that is what happens when you buy from a dealer... they can only know so much.

thinking the stiffness might have something to do with the rear passenger shock, but that could just be my mind playing tricks on me since it is sitting lower. going to Les Schwab soon to get some winter tires installed so will have them check that out as well and look to see if the sways are different. not sure how I will know on that part though

conti's will not even do well on dry pavement, but that's another story

for snow/ice you'll need snow/winter tires. Lot's of folks love the Dunlops and the Pirellis.

Isn't Pismo in California? Isn't your house in the desert? Why the snow tire question?

love that car with stock wheels.

p.s. maybe the right rear rides low because there's something hidden in the bodywork. Did you buy this car from a Columbian guy?

A little low slung?! You're adjusted WAY too low, something is seriously wrong with your suspension or you have 500lbs in the trunk.
