i have stage 1+ now and i want to get stage 2. The guy said i only need exhaust and i got that but the website said i need 380 injectors . do i need injectors for the stage 2?

don't know about uni, all the mfgs have diffrent stages.

revo stage 1 = apr stage 1 (just a basic flash)
revo stage 2 = apr stage 1+ (flash & 380cc EFIs)
revo ??????? = apr stage 2 (for K04 + other supporting mods)
revo stage 3 = no apr equivalent (GTRS or bigger + other supporting mods)
apr stage 3 (gt2860r)
there are others too like apr stage 3+ ect but you don't need ot worry about any of that. so how those translate over to uni... ?? beats me.

uni makes a bunch of different flashes, i am sure one of them supports a K04, just make sure they give you the correct one.

That's what they told me, After the 93 Octane flash, It goes to the 380 CC injector flash, then the k04, then the BT

that's how most of the chip companies are:
standard flash > EFI flash > K04 flash > BT flash > ECT.

the question is what does unitronic call the EFI flash?

Stage 2 Unitronic is like Stage 1+ for APR, Revo, etc.

Im stage 2 unitronic. Exhaust and 380cc injectors. thats all

btw youll be very happy with the flash, car feels so good through out the whole rpm

Yeah, I wished I would have stayed with Unitronic...I really thought the 1+ was more powerful than my GIAC I have now. Oh well, I guess i'm never happy

ok so is one company's flash better than the others or is it all just preference? Because regardless of the name the company gives it, it seems like they all have the same steps with different names. So does one give better results or what? Because i've been wanting to go APR 1+ because i hear it's great, but if i were to get the equivalent somewhere else, would it be the same result with potentially better pricing or is there zero difference?

this has been covered a million times.
i have had APR 1+ and 2, if i could go back in time i would have done Revo from the beginning. i've already written a book about it so go search if you want to know more.

There is no APR Stage 3 for the B6, only Stage 3+

Most people dont know Unitronic, they know GIAC and APR. Uni's stage 2 require 380cc injectors. that's it!

every stage 2 file needs bigger injectors for the b6...people either call them 1+ or stage 2. In my opinion stage 2 is stock turbo with all supporting mods i.e intercooler, turboback exhaust, TIP, heatshield etc. Oh and cant forget the injectors TT's or 380cc's (dual spray plz)

They told me this too. I have Uni 1+ with a TIP and exhaust, they said stage 2 was the same as the "injector file" from APR (or APR 1+) and that anything after Uni 2 (Uni 2+, Uni 3...) would be for k04 or BT...


sorry, zombie thread.. but thought I'd chime in.

Also, do you really want to throw off your MPG computer? cuz I've heard it'll go 10-20% out of whack because of the injectors... I live and die by my KM until empty gauge! :P

Your KM until empty changes but when you get down to 30-20-10-0 it's all the same. The mpg computer sucks anyway. Some good old fashioned math at the pump is much better.

The Uni stage 2 is the big injector file. Most people just don't understand the B6 fuel system and place it with every other 1.8T which it is not
