I found a Dolphin Grey 04 Tip in Houston w/ only 21k on it that i had an inspection company look at for me yesterday. Everything checked out so i will be picking it up either this or next weekend. At this point i am just waiting for the hold on my check from the sale of my TL to lifted. Once it is i'm flying out and driving this bad boy back to Atlanta.. Best part about it is that i got a smoking deal on it..

Heres the deal..

The car was being sold on consignment. I talked the sales guy into doing it as a private party sale. Why??? Because in GA when you register a car that was purchased as a private party sale, you don't have to pay sales tax on the purchase price. Serious, no bullshit. This literally saved me about $1500. So anyway i got it for $22k. IMO thats a hella deal on an 04 w/ only 21k on it.

As for transport costs i had a couple of free flights on my Air Tran Visa so i cashed on in and the flight was free. I hotwired a hotel for $70 for the night, and i filled her up 3 times before i got home. It maybe cost me $250 to get it home. I made pretty damn good time too. 815 miles in 11.5 hours and that includes 3gas/food/shitter stops..

$22k all in for a car w/ only 20k on it IMO is a great deal. I've been looking for a while and i think i have decent pulse on the market for these cars. There were definatley a few cheaper ones to be had, but those all had 40k+ on them already..

Thanks for the kind words, and i am already enjoying it.. I gotta swing by the dealer tomorrow though to top off the power steering fluid.. I planned on taking pics today but the "honey do" list was rather long seeing that i lost a day driving back...
