got one installed last week.... me and my buddy did the install..

at first i couldnt find where the hell the OEM valve was.. after a half hour search we discovered that the easiest way to do it was to get on youre back and go under the car.. i had some ramps...definatly going to want to get the car in the air a lil.

im revo chipped and have been driving the car pretty hard.. definatly a good option..100$ less

can here the turbo/valve when i really punch it.. installing my EVOMS intake this weekend and from what i heard, that should add to the sound...

Can't answer your question about how it works, but I apparently voided my warranty for having an intake and Forge diverted valve. From my experience, it seems like there are a lot of variables when it comes to getting warranty work done. For example, if your dealership is mod friendly and what type of warranty work you are getting done. I'm currently trying to fight a warranty claim and it's a pain in the ass. I suggest putting mods on, but definitely take them off if you need to bring your car in for any major work

Re: A.W.E. Diverter Valve, whos got one??

I have the AWE diverter valve. Their customer service and shipping time was very admirable. Had it on for about a 1000 miles now. Seems to work just as advertised. Install isn't hard, but it's not simple either. Simple to me is less than an hour from start to finish. It probably took me about 2 hours to get done, after jacking up the car, finding the stock location etc. There is almost no room to work, so finding a place for your hands is the probably the biggest challenge.

I take my car in for its first scheduled service tommorrow...so we will see if the dealer bitches about it or not.

The forge valve uses an aluminum piston which needs regular greasing and cleaning.
The AWE valve is a diaphragm valve and requires no maintenance or service. Being a diaphragm valves it operates ever so slightly quicker. No boost surging or anything, and works great!

    No complaints about AWE here.

I used to bring my Audi there when I lived in the area, always got good service, and have watched them put out several good products in the meantime. I don't think you'll find too many honest complaints about them.

Most Porsche / Audi dealers won't complain much about this DV, especially if they understand it's a Porsche based DV, and they install it. It's harder for them to appreciate the quality (if warranted) of other aftermarket parts they don't necessarily trust and haven't seen before, but this is somewhat of a different situation and may be seen as such by service mgrs at Porsche/Audi dealers. Of course, YMMV. The Forge valve, in contrast, I would avoid for the simple fact that it's difficult to access (unlike the aftermarket DV in my 1.8T) and so the idea of accessing it to clean and lube the piston with any regularity is amusing to the point that it probably won't happen. Any chance of that causing it to malfunction is a weak point that can and will be used against you in any sort of warranty dispute, regardless of how strong the case may be.

Re: A.W.E. Diverter Valve, whos got one??

Just put one on and it works great. I got rid of my custom intake cause I was running too lean. I also got their boost gauge and its a lot easier installing AWE DV/Boost gauge at the same time since you basically plug it into the same location :)

No complaints here! Great service/Fast shipping from AWE even though I paid for ground.

The intake was messing with the maf. He was getting a CEL and put the stock airbox on and it later went away. But i'm glad the DV is working for you. I need to do it now.

any idea what kind of maintenance the Forged DV needs? I see greasing and cleaning but does it need to be removed and then greased?
