    Alarm System Recomendations

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Alright, this probably has been covered, but I want up-to-date info and i want to make a choice based on my needs.

Story: past year my alarm siren has been dead. I was thinking go OEM but that wouldn't scare a deer. And well last night i had a nightmare that i walked out of a restaurant and my car was stolen and i went bazurk and i somehow i became a hostage and long story short someone stole my car. If my car was ever stolen i'd shoot myself i mean i love my car as much as my family. And since it is salvaged it isn't worth crap.

Question: What alarm system can i use where if someone tried to break into my car he/she would be stunned until i turned it off? Something that i can use the OEM remote, and it will still beep when i lock the doors. i wanted to put small tasers into the door handles, but that's probably illegal and worth more than my car. So please someone help me here woth choices of sirens or alarms.

    Thanx,
    Post Whore Out.

    Re: Alarm System Recomendations

Compustar you can use your stock remote. but you lose range with stock remote. your best bet would be a pro2w9000, compustar it works with our canbus electronics and use your valet key, or you could just find the stock horn and replace it with a super loud one.

o yeah add remote start too...

    Re: Alarm System Recomendations

Ok Iam telling you your best bet is to get two way remote becasue it tells you where the break in occurs, it also gives you a 1 mile range... Are you usually 1 mile away from your car? This is your best bet I know my remote barley works within ten feet of my car... If you work in a restarant do you think you could here the horn with banging of pots and pans? or a small vibration in your pocket warning you of the theft.

just look up sirens for car alarms and wire it into the factory harness if you want to be lame...haha

    Re: Alarm System Recomendations

^^oh i thought i'd have to use my valet key. But if my key is going to disengage the alarm as well, i don't mind carrying 2 remotes if it pages. As long as i don't have to push anything on the new remote to get into my car i don't mind the reduced range.

    Re: Alarm System Recomendations

if you dont mind carying two remotes then carry your key as a key and your alarm as an alarm, shot you could leave your key in your car. Stop being crazy and ditch the factory remote its not that cool... I did the B7 upgrade and iam thinking about ditching it

    Re: Alarm System Recomendations

I'd go with a Clifford 2-Way remote pager. Had it on my old car, worked really well, great distance and notifies you on your pager if anything is going on. I think its called like Clifford Matrix or something. Pretty good.
