Red Turbo "T" Emblem at the back?

Hello all,

Today I took my car to the service. While walking around I have noticed some of B7 A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro's have a red T sign on the trunk.

I have the gray one as you see,


I know that diesel sign TDI differs due to their hp's, but is there any hp change in 2.0 TFSI quattro's ? I mean as far as i know all of them are 200hp, so as mine.. If so, why do some of them have red T's?

I don't know if anyone knows why they did it. They might have run out of the red T at the factory and just put the silver one on. The red could maybe be more costly. I'm not sure.

All car with Red "T" have 50WHP+ from the factory. Even if you don't have the Red "T" if you add it you get most of the HP back.

its one of the many important changes that audi makes to their newer models... from red to silver.
pretty dumb.. but i debadged either way.

red T's were designed for color blinds.
They couldn't see the silver's, so audi was kind enough to produce the red ones for the year of '06 :)

all kiddings aside, yup, I had this question in my mind before as well :)

but having them debadged would look better anyways :)

When I purchase my A4 the dealer told me the 2006 vehicles had the red T. Doesn't mean anything it's just something Audi did.

That's why I got mad when I saw the all joking messages. I stated that I made a search but could not get an answer in the topics which came from the search. Also in our forum, we don't have many Audi users, that's why I am here. To search, to learn.. But these kind of men really annoy me.

Thanks. Maybe it can be like that. One 2.0TFSI owner came with a red T sign while I was in the service, but he just left so quickly, I could not ask if his car was 06 :)

i have an 07, like one of the first ones in the country, and it HAD a red T.... but then it got washed off or something idk?? one day i had it and then one day i noticed ot disappeared... im debadged now so it doesn't matter haha

This is a true statement, as soon as I took off my red T I noticed a dramatic loss in power. So I went around stealing everyone elses red T's and I have around 20 red T's on my trunk now. The car just got dynoed and is putting out 1240AWHP. First thing I want to do is race Enzoballin's mustang.

Haha, actually, the answer you got here is pretty much the SAME "answer" that was given in all the other threads.

No worries, we all make mistakes and are guilty of some reposts, but in this case, you were wrong. Just man up and admit it instead of giving attitude to everyone. At least they're making jokes and not outright flaming you.
