Good Mechanic in Eastbay?

Where do you guys take your cars for Engine work/repair and such in the Eastbay or San Lorenzo, Hayward area?

Not exactly in the east bay

but if you look just in the norcal forum, you will notice that East County European Autoworks or ECEW is the place to go. Granted its about a 40mile drive from where you live, but Freddie and Scott provide excellent quality work. Honest, quality work that works with your working schedule...how can you beat that?

Ive been to some of these shops that everyone likes, but Freddie was the only one that was willing to work afterhours, during the weekends, all to accomodate my 60+hour work week. Also he was the only person who wasnt hesitant to let me see what they were doing with my car. Its worth it just to watch the guy work on your car because it really is awesome seeing a former master tech doing his thing

Just gave them a call. Spoke to Scott, very friendly and great communicator over the phone. He is going to check if my car should be driveable and if not they can pick up themselves. Wow! so far so good. Waiting his call back with estimate.

just got my car dropped by them last weekend. my gawd those guys kick ass. takin my girls gti to em when shes ready. great service

Freddie is the man! Met him yesterday when I took my car up there to get my rear rotors/pads put on. Real friendly/fast service at a great cost. Will definitely be going back there in the future that's for sure...
