If you have some time, everyone else around here will swear that Mike @ Canyon Racer in Mission Viejo provides the best all around service, and I agree. He is right on par w/ VW Specialties

I have the same opinion on both places. Beach House Imports charges waaay too much and I didn't like Tim's attitude either. I had my car towed there, and I literally towed it right back home the same day after meeting Tim.

But I can highly recommend Mike @ Canyon Racer. Friendly guy who really cares about his work and his relationship with customers. I went there to get my clutch replaced with a VAST RS4 hybrid and it feels great!

Had my old B5 worked on by Ron@VWspecialties and it was a good experience. Be aware that he is a small shop and gets backed up fast. I called last week to get something fixed and he couldn't get me in for about 2 days so I just fixed it myself.

I live literally 2 minutes from Beach House Imports, we started off great... I even got rides back home on Saturdays while they worked on my car; over time I began to see how much I was overpaying & that his growing customer base made him act like a dick imo... he doesn't deserve my money.

The shops below are the only ones I go to. Call either of them, don't be bashful..

ron wood. i still go to him, and yes you have to call in advance. I usually call a week in advance. and as overspun said, bodywork go to A-One autobody!

i 2nd mike @ canyon racer if oyu're looking for an alternative in OC. but jose was my first mechanic when i had the TT - did my timing belt for me - (this was like 5 years ago). but he's very honest, and gives it to you straight. very classy guy - so is mike.

Damn, thats dealership pricing!! When I got my TB replaced at Ingolstadt West (Canoga Park), I paid $850 out the door with an oil change as well. That was with the old managment, think they upped it a little bit now.

WOW. What a rip off. I went to Tim (the guy thats been slipping in his forum appeal as you can see from above) even charged 900, with an oil change.
