99.5 aeb issues HELP

OK so cel went on the other day but drove normal..I dont have a vag cable yet.. Well today it wouldnt start unless i gave it gas, it would just keep turning over.. Then once it did start it wouldnt rev down normal at red lights and hang around 2500-3500 and putter and sputter really hard like in and out of boost while driving..like in 5th it bucked really hard..wtf?

I would think the rpm's would be a really bad boost leak but the sputtering? Oh and today was the first snow fall ugh! Dont think the cold has anything to do with it but i dont know...

how much do used maf's go for? Can i upgrade it at all for the k03? I would rather go aftermarket if possible but i only see bt guys running vr6 mafs

should i of changed my plugs after the seafoam? i just put them in maybe 5k ago...

Holy F dude, relax, slow down a bit and things will become more clear.

Unless you were dumping the SeaFoam in front of the MAF, I don't see any possible way that it would cause the MAF issue.
However, it does sound like a MAF issue (not caused by seafoam). You will want to inspect you plugs, but replacing they probably isn't needed at this time.

Another possibility is that you have a boost leak. I forgot to tighten down my boost pipe to my throttle body once and it did about what you say is going on. I didn't make it to 5th gear though, only 3rd.

Pop the hood an have yourself a look around, double check anything you may have tampered with when you did the seafoam - vacuum lines, boost hoses, etc. You never know, it might just jump out at you.
