You're welcome, but it is a stupid question that could have easily been answered with a quick search.

He's pretty much spot on with everything he says. The only defense for 19s IMO is that they look better. If you don't mind the ride being a bit rougher and the car having a little more unsprung weight, go for the 19s. Otherwise 18s have all the benefits mxrz said.

I think 18s ride much better than 19s. 19s arent really pot hole proof though.....well it all depends on the tires.

I'd just be giving you my personal oppinion lol. Check out a4mods.com and scroll through the for sale threads. But everytime I see 18" RS4 reps first thing I think is that they look too small.

i challenge the fact that 19's look more baller

really though, everything he said is true. i can definitely tell a turn-in difference between my 17's and 19's (tires on my 17's are wider with a higher profile sidewall.. 235/35/19 vs. 245/40/17) on any road that is less than perfectly smooth. the best way to describe it is kind of like if you've ever driven a car with a small or disconnected front sway... you get this skipping in the front wheels when you turn in hard that A) keeps you from getting on it as hard on the exit and B) makes you understeer like a biatch.

its not TERRIBLE, but i can definitely tell.. and that's only about a 15-20mm difference in sidewall

if you can find me a wheel and tire package for around $1069, i would gladly go with the 19's...as of now, i could only find 18's that are within that price range =D

^^ Go with that then. The cheapest 19"s I would ever buy are from VMR since they seem to be of solid quality and hold up well. They go for about $1000 without tires. Any cheaper 19s will be likely to bend or break.

19's look better, no doubt. Gotta watch those potholes w/35's.
18's are better for daily driving, plus in 4 seasons...its a no brainer (You're in W. Chester, right?)
Unless you have summer 19's /winter wheels...18's all the way.

For heavy winter areas 18's are too wide. Even with good rubber you will float over the snow. 17's are the biggest I will go in the winter. A little thinner and will help bite in the snow and ice better.

i dont think VMR sells tire/wheel packages...and if i got tires extra id probably be spending 1400...so i might actually have to consider 19's...i could get falkens for around 110 each, so maybe a bit closer to 1550 with shipping

We do sell wheel & tire packages, in fact we're one of the few brands out there that actually mount & road force balance in house. You really don't want a random shop to try installing low profile tires

Explain. I have my stock 17" sports on winter tires and the tires are the same width as my 18" summer wheels.

Too wide? You can get narrow tires... 225/40/18 instead of the 235 or 245 that people normally get. The difference between 225/45/17 and 225/40/18 shouldn't be noticeable so long as you choose good tires :)
