    HELP: question about stripped lugs

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I went to a tire shop today to get my 235/45/ 19 tires swapped out for some 235/35/19's because of rubbing issues, but they said they didn't want to take the wheels off because a few of the lugs looked like they were installed at an angle. He said that a few of the lugs might snap if he pulled them off. He also told me that I would need new rear rotors and lugs if they were stripped. If the lugs are stripped will I just need new lugs and new rotors or is this going to cost me alot more. TIA

Re: HELP: question about stripped lugs

If the lugs are stripped you need HUBS, not rotors, in addition to the lugs.

If you have to replace the hubs, you'll also need new wheels bearings. The bearings will get destroyed when the hubs are removed, and thus need to be replaced.
