    Good eye!

Completion of his helmet is put on hold until I figure out if I want to run a mushroom filter of not on the turbo.

If not then Darth literally 'breathes' when attached to it!

On the base file we put down 349awhp/318lbft tq on 94 octane.

    I'm going for 400awhp

That TIP might be choking in up a bit. You don't run a MAF correct? If not try pulls with a without it.

That is what we plan to do next once I have the new file.

We plan to do pulls with the TIP in place and then remove it and see what changes.

more nice work, do you do any of this yourself ?
I installed the injectors and spark plugs!

It is a replica AGN valve cover. Got it off of Vortex.

I'm not 100% convinced that it vents like the OEM but it works and looks a lot cleaner.

damn.. how much did that whole set up run you? looks way good
The final setup cost me more than expected due to the fact we were R&D a new setup so parts break and have to be remade.

i wish i had that kind of money to put in to my car

That is the next mod I plan to do. I have a 80mm VDO throttle body sitting in a box.

    Looking good.

The TIP goes to an open cone filter right now. I plan to get rid of the tip and replace it with a mushroom filter or something else when the new file arrives.

I plan to do some more dyno runs to see if having the TIP in place actually hinders performance for not.

The left side of your engine bay reminds me of Doctor Octo.

I know that you can't really buy those fitting in colors other than red/blue, but damn, someone is missing out on a market segment by not offering plain black or silver fittings. The red/blue is just uggggly. All I can think is "MOPAR" when I see them.

Nice looking setup! Im sure it'll be quick.

I have no idea why anyone would buy a red/blue fitting over a black or silver one. Apparently a lot of people do though, because I see them all over the intarwebz. Maybe people just like them because they stand out and make the whole world notice that the owner has done work to the car (not you in particular Winston, Id think that it's rather apparent to literally anyone that your not driving a stock BMW as it is ).

yes, the AN fittings that are red and blue are just the signature colors for them. so people take much more notice to the type of fittings when they are that color. and those type of fittings are synonymous with quality and $$$$

but the black fittings are a bit more expensive than the blue. nothing much. but it can add up quick if you are ordering a lot

Do you feel any difference in spool between the T3 and Vband exhaust housing?
I do notice that the Tial housing spools up faster than the T3 one while driving.

Without being able to put the car on the dyno with both housings would we know for sure how much faster and see if there is any power output differences in the high RPM due to the size difference.

I think the left side looks like a Sentinel from the Matrix.

The AN fittings are what are available locally without having to wait for parts so they go in. They have been attached and removed so many times in this build their finish has been marred up. When I have absolutely nothing left to do I'lll have them swapped out for new ones.

It must get pritty dam hot in that engine bay. You should get some exhaust wrap for that mani and down pipe.
No wrapping is going to happen to any of the parts. Guess you haven't seen the older threads to see the damage that happened when things got ceramic coated. The coating sure kept the engine bay cooler but turned the stainless steel into plastic.

but the black fittings are a bit more expensive than the blue. nothing much. but it can add up quick if you are ordering a lot
They can add up quick when you order only a few too!

I run the black and aluminum finish ones. To save a few bucks I buy the Jegs or Summit brands, and shop each catalog to find who's are cheaper.
