You can watch DVD's when it's rolling very easily, just have install one wire a certain way. Very easy, look at avic411.com for more info

i was about to say, even my avic D3 had that gyro feature. I had to search around on google for a hack to by-pass this.

Didn't know about the new gyro, but tons have bypassed it on the D3 with just the parking brake ground.

ask your installer to contact pioneer about installing in a marine application.... they'll tell you how to do it. - Or just avic411 - it's not that difficult.

I heard the f90bt is really slow in response and boot up, does anyone know if this is true?

Ask your local auto audio visual shop how to bypass it, mine did it for me for free when wiring it up on my D3.

Yes it is noticably slower, my buddy has it in his civic. He had the orginal d3 now upgraded to this newone. He said its slow, but msn and weather tools, nice colorfull navigation is nice and all. But the original d3 is still state of the art system for its price. So if you have the regular d3 like me its not a big difference to upgrade.

    Re: avic F90BT

So apparently the new update ver 2.0 makes this boot up alot faster and also solves some of the other bugs with the system. I just signed up for MSN live and am going to be getting a brand new AVIC-f90BT for like $490 shipped!

hey guys so first of all about the D3 in oder to bypass it you need to relocate the mute wire and ground that along with the parking brake wire...

    Re: avic F90BT

as for the Avic F series here is the bypass: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17013

its the same concept. YOu relocate the Mute wire (yellow) and ground that and the parking brake an BOOM your bypassed. As for the 2.0 update you can download that directly from www.avic41.com

Can anyone confirm that this update really makes it faster? I really want internal memory navigation instead of the CD, but if it's so slow I don't wanna deal with it.

haha, I tried out my friend 2006 YZF450 a few times and it had so much power, but I liked the lighter feel of the YZF250. My bike in the picture is a YZF250 and what I spent most of my career on, newer models and so on. Being in college now I don't have time for it anymore so I was forced to sell my 2008 YZF250. Internships and work take all my time in the summer and no place to keep it at school. I definitely will get back into it when I find time though. Been riding since I was 7. You ride? PM me.

Back on topic, the F90bt seems so good, but I'm still not convinced. It seems like the best option though over the Kenwood.
