squeaky chair .. any remedies ?

my driver seat is very squeaky, especially when i turn left or right, it seems like the side supports (leather rubbing the plastic U shape) makes the noise..

any fix for this annoying squeak ?

I just developed this about 2 weeks ago, it is the most annoying thing ever and 1 squeak per second is driving me insane.

I haven't looked at it yet, but I'll report back when I get around to it, if I don't make the dealer fix it first haha

Taking mine into the dealer tomorrow to have the same thing looked at (still under warranty). I'll let you know what I find out.

i have the same issue...went to dealer...i wasn't able to produce the squeek on our test drive, so they lubed up all the components under the seat....squeek went away for a week and now it's back. only can hear it over bumps...small and big....

Mine has done it ever since the summer started. The dealership tried to fix it, but the noise just came back.

I had this awhile back. Went to the dealer a few time and was charged with to some stupid solution which did nothing. Guys check your drawer/ storage under the seat. The dealer could fix it so I removed it and the squeak went away, but now I have to deal w/ my son's baby seat rubbing on the leather. You can fix one, but you can't fix them all.

tired sticking some cardboard between the plastic and the leather behind the seat, noise is gone for now... will check again tomorrow

Yeah back to the dealer for me, I also need to get my front brakes checked because they have started squeaking.

I dont know if it is the same as you guys, but my seatbelt is what is squeaking on my seat. I notice the squeak when i go over bumps and make turns. I know it is the belt because as soon as i take it off, the squeaks are totally gone. I think it has something to do with the mechanism that you plug the belt into. i have not been to the dealer to try to remedy the situation.

Haha. I've actually been looking to upgrade. I found a set of A3 S-line seats but they won't fit. I'd love to do Pole Positions but I don't know that it makes sense to put buckets on a daily driver. Itd be nice to shed the weight...

Driver seat squeaked for me also. Dealer fixed it. They also put cushioning strips on the seat belt buckle which was rubbing on the seat (squeak also). It's been good for the last 30K miles.

The issue I am fighting now is the driver seat leather is cracking (too brittle?). Happened with it was approx 45K miles. AOA need to start acknowledging these type of complaints.

45k miles and you haven't fed the leather!? Just like keeping wax on the paint. This is not Audi's problem.

dealer told me that A4's some parts of chair is not real leather..it's plastic!!

I detail my cars every 5K miles. I do interior/exterior after every oil change. I truly believe I take care of my cars.

I have Yukons which I pull jet skis with. I jump in the driver seat with wet/damp pants. The leather is as new.

The material that Audi used (IMHO) is not quality stuff. This is Audi's problem.

The problem with mine is that the leather from the bolster is rubbing against the edge of the back panel. I haven't fixed it yet but I think I'm going to try Lexol first.

It started happening in my S4 about 3 weeks ago also, haven't looked into it too much b/c it's just over bums, but it's def. driving me nuts. I'm kinda thinking that it's the drawer under the seat, but I'm not too sure. I just hate our dealer, so I've kinda avoided looking into ti too much.

i have a small noise, sounds like a small bird chirping.

It's annoying as hell. I don't know where its coming from.
Sounds like the rear seat somewhere. Only happens sometimes.

My fix right now is turn the volume up and drown it out.

Yea, it was gone after the dealer claims to have repadded the seat...... after 6 mths the squeaky noises are back.... I just wanna figure out where it's coming from and fix it once and for all... I can't stand the damn squeaks from the seat.

I'm getting a squeak too, but what I really hate is the stupid squeaking of the arm rest on the door which squeaks whenever my leg rests on it.

I have squeaks coming from the steering column area (haven't figured out exactly where yet) and when the weather is warm, the plastic areas above each door squeak like crazy. I didn't expect this when I bought the car. Dealer said they only warranty interior squeaks for 1 year. Mine was put on the road in Dec. 2007.
