    Few swaybar questions

well i've been having some trouble trying to find information for the audi!

So i bought some S4 swaybars that supposedly are 29mm up front and 15mm out back!

did the back end and indeed was better than my non-sport A4 one!

but then I was about to swap the front one and it looks the same?

    my car is a 99.5 Avant 1.8t - I thought i would have been a 27mm bar not the 29mm

both bars have different numbers on them

the one on my car says: 8D04M HFHH9DE
    the "S4" one says: 8D04M HFHD8DE

can anyone enlighten me? i didn't swap the fronts out cause they look the same!

    Re: Few swaybar questions

appearing the same and being the same are two different things.

The S4 one should be a tiny bit stiffer. ... I said should, no promises.

2mm is small and hard to notice. The s4 will be stiffer.

    Re: Few swaybar questions

Ive been having trouble finding sway bars as well for my FWD TIP, I know Neuspeed makes one for the rear, but what about for the front? Can I use the same one that the quattro uses?

The front's should be the same. Obviously if you upgrade the size of the bar you will need the correct bushings, sometimes they'll squeeze in if it's not a huge upgrade.

A4 non sport front bar is hollow.
    S4 front bar is solid.
A4 sport front bar = S4 front bar.

    Re: Few swaybar questions

All B5 front bars should be 29mm. There are only 2. Nonsport (hollow) and Sport/S4 (solid)
