Client had contacted me months ago. He told me that the roof and rear of the car had some tree sap/droppings on it and he wanted the paint to look better. This was an exterior only.

We finally got together a few weeks ago. He made the drive to my place.

Sorry about the lack of pics, but the client was waiting till the car was done. I did not want to keep him any longer then required.

I started out by doing an valu gard ABC paint decontamination wash. I had hoped that this would reduce my claying time on the tree droppings.

I used my foam lance for the valu gard car wash.

I applied P21s wheel cleaning gel and cleaned the wheels with various brushes.

Tires and wells where cleaned with AM 777 APC.

Started claying and that was not removing the tree droppings. I tried some prep solv and 3M adhesive remover. Neither would remove the tree droppings.

Decided to give the micro surface 4k paper dry a try. This was still a slow process, so on the advice of weekend warrior (thanks David!) I tried the 3600 and that worked a little faster. It still did not marr this hard audi clear.

The client gave his sister a call who has a masters degree in Horticulture. She said the droppings are not from the trees, but from the bugs in the trees.

I then did an IPA wipedown prior to polishing.

I compounded the paint with a black lambswool tufbuf pad and Menzerna P0203s using my flex 3403 rotary at 1500-1700 , each area took 2 applications to remove the wash induced marring and some light RIDS.

I then did another IPA wipedown to clean the polishing oils from the paint.

I then followed with ZPC on white CCS pad using the Flex 3401 on speed 5.

Two coats of Z2pro with ZFX on the paint and glass.

Z8 on the paint and glass.

    Z-16 on the tires.

Tips cleaned up with blue magic metal polish.
