I am not real sure where to post this so I though I'd start here. I have noticed that some people on AZ seem to be a little confused about what's the big deal with Audi so I thought I would share just a tiny bit of background. Feel free to ciontribute.

Great post. Wasn't Audi (Auto Union) first to break 200mph in the 30's/40's as well? I thought I remember hearing that.

That's quite possible but I don't have the facts. There's a lot of other stuff that is part of the heritage that I left off.
