Being a no-cost option, I'm surprised I haven't seen more S5s with alcantara. Today I saw a black leather w/pearl alcantara.

A5 S-line seats have preforated alcantara. Some people don't like it because you can see the inside white of the seats behind the holes, so from some angles it looks as if there are white spots on the seats.

No there are no power mirrors on the '09s

Thanks for all the positive comments guys! You're correct that there are no power folding mirrors on the '09. It's not a big deal to me, but definitely weird that they would remove that feature.

Other than all the other things that make the S5 great, I'm enjoying the WD Passport integration -- bringing my entire MP3 collection with me everywhere is fantastic.

On the '08s the mirrors folded in automatically when you locked the car, and unfolded when you unlocked it -- so laziness aside, they'd be in use every day.

That being said, the '09 mirrors can still fold, but most be done manually. My parking spot at work is plenty wide, so I don't really worry about it, but I folded them in at a friend's apartment.

Thanks! I actually did not like the color when I looked through the configurator on Audi's website, which is why I originally ordered Ice Silver Metallic. But then I was on the freeway and saw a Quartz A5 and was immediately on the phone with my salesguy (Greg@AudiMV) to change the color. Lots of complexity to it which doesn't show up in pics -- it changes shade depending on lighting conditions.

The seats look lighter than black only because it was an extremely sunny day last week =) It's really just regular black.

I gotta be honest, this is an amazing car for the money (as long as you don't pay $200k in the Netherlands).

I don't think it is chinsy to remove something most people don't use.
