Our cars are fine with a BOV. It goes in the same way the DV is on. Takes like 2 minutes on the 01, on the 00 it probably is done in half an hour. What don't you understand?

    Re: Greddy Blow off valve.

The way i see it installed in my car is "recirculation style".I'm thinking,if i wanna go with the the Greddy blow off valve,i would have to put a plug in the recirculation hose of the car and mount the B.o.v on the intake pipe where the stock B.O.V mounted.Would it work?

    9. Diverter Valve/bypass valves in general – A diverter valve is most popular and is required for all chip and turbo applications that run more boost. It holds the extra pressure better. Forge 007, Bailey, Hyperboost, and other DVs are good. an OEM 710N DV will hold chipped boost without a problem and is a cheaper soulution. The blow off valve (BOV) is asked about. some say don't do it and will flame you. but as long as you take the necessary steps it can work. you just need to run a recirculation kit to make it work, basically taking the "blown off" air and runnning it back into the intake tract like the DV does initiallly.

I want to set the blow off valve atmospherically, meaning "release the pressure in the air.

You do know that by venting to atmosphere, you're going to be confuxoring your ECU and making it think more air has gone into the engine than in fact has...

I've done this though, my car backfires often, haven't had a CEL as yet, but i think that's because my ECU have been hacked to pieces. So don't be surprised when the check engine light starts coming on.

what type of blow off valve did you use? When i bought the car, there was an Xs blow off valve installed but it was mounted differently and totally different from Greddy's settings. To tell you the truth, the check engine light never came on.

HKS SSQV, had it on there for not even a week, then my head couldn't take it anymore. Took it out and put the Forge 007 DV on. MUCH better, and no headaches.

If you're not getting backfires, i assume you're running stock injectors still...?

    Re: Greddy Blow off valve.

    Look at his model year,
    HE CAN RUN A BOV
HE DOESN'T NEED A RECIRCULATION KIT
    IT JUST REPLACES THE DV
THERE IS NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT
I'VE VAGCOM'D IT AND IT DOESN'T RUN RICH

Howcome my car had a fit about putting the BOV on...?

I haven't tried it since i pulled out the VAC/PCV system. Might give it a try and see what it does.
