The steel wheel thread, post pics if you rock the black wheels of fury!

Put these on on Saturday... oh yeah! The ride is certainly smoother now and I dont have to wash them... ever! I think the brake dust actually covers the rust and they look better when filthy. As they sit now they have about 6,000 miles of unwashed glorious filth on them. This year marks the 10th snow season for these wheels!

and this is how she looked earlier in the day:

Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D in massive 205/65-15. They are AWESOME in the snow. I actually even like them when it warms up because you can scoot the car around the bends with a little sliding action where summer tires would just stick. fun times!

I don't think I'd be able to rock such ugly rims, even in the dead of winter.

What ugly rims? HOnestly I like the steelies, there is never even a split second thought of pothole or curb damage. The ride is plush and I can wash my car in about 20 minutes without 15 spoke wheels staring me down.

I did the same thing up until this year...finally put some all season tires (Conti's) on my stock USP rims and will roll in high style all winter.

I only did it as I'm planning on picking up a BBK shortly and did not want to wait until spring to install it.

looking at this thread shows you the magic of a good set of wheels...

Seriously, it's amazing how much the winter wheels change the overall look of the car for the worst. But they are practical for winter. Keeps your good wheels nice so they can keep making your car look amazing.

I've been keeping my eyes peeled for a set of extra ridiculous-looking hub caps. If I find a set, I'm buying them.

Anybody have any insight as to above what temperature driving winter tires wears them down too fast? I've got Blizzak LM-22s if that matters.
